Q. How long does it take to the Seoul Tower by walking?
A. : There are 3 different ways to get to the Seoul Tower by walking
First, from Seoul station
Take a bus among 83, 83-1, 79-1 in front of the Seoul station gate # 4 of 1st lane a take off at Namsan library bus stop(just 2 stops away) a take either walking along the one way Namsan express road to the Seoul Tower or walking along the stairs toward the Namsan botanical garden. It takes about 15 minutes either way.
Second, from Myung-Dong
Start from the Myung-Dong station gate #3, the 4th lane a walk along the road right by Pacific Hotel to Cable car station for 10 minutes a pass the Cable car station around 200m more to Namsan stairs. It takes about 3 minutes from Cable car station to Tower.
Third, from Dong-Kuk univ.
From the Dong-Kuk univ. station gate #6, the subway lane #3a take a walk toward the National theater passing by Jang-Choong park(around 15~20 min), meet the Namsan express road toward the Namsan(15~20 min)a take either walk along the Namsan express road or walk through the stairs to Namsan after 150m from the Namsan tollgate at the right hand side. It takes 40 min. total from Dong-Kuk univ. to Tower.

Q. What is big 3?
A.: Big 3 is the ticket allowed 3 observatories to visit out of 4. There are two kinds
called "Big 3A" and "Big 3B".
"Big 3A" is free pass to Observatory, Wonderland, 3D theatere and "Big3B" includes Observatory, Wonderland, and traditional museum.
*Therefore, your choice is either 3D theater or traditional museum.


Q. Do I have to buy a ticket to get into restaurant in observatory?
A. Yes, the ticket is needed to get into restaurant in observatory.
It's very hard to distinguish the visitors either to regular restaurant or to rotation restaurant due to the floor design. We even considered to deduct some amount from the receipt in which the regular restaurant customer have but it didn't mean that much because it's very picky to figure the viewing cost. It's only matter the menu price includes the viewing cost.

Q. : Isn't the Namsan Tower the original name?
A. : The original name is the Seoul Tower.
The reason people call the Seoul Tower by Namsan tower is the location but it's wrong. After YTN merged the Seoul Tower, 2000. 4, 8, YTN registered the Seoul Tower as "YTN Seoul Tower". But according to the historical background included traditional name, the Seoul Tower, YTN just respects as it is. The world famous towers are using the city names to standout the city and tower together.

A. The Seoul Tower is not taking parking fee additionally.

Namsan express road toll fee is as follow: 1hr. free and the cost adds from 30 min pass. For cars, 1000\ for 1st hour and 1000\ add per each 30 minutes. For buses, 1500\ for 1st hour and 1500\ per 30 min pass
